‘Stitches’ sensation Shawn Mendes has revealed that he has a set of rituals he has to do before playing a concert.

During a new chat with Capital FM, the young star was asked if he has any pre-show rituals and he was able to list a handful of things he always does before stepping out on stage: 

“Actually, yeah, I guess I do. I have this certain tea I have to have... this throat coat tea."

"I’m convinced that if I don’t have this throat coat tea with honey then no voice will come out when I get on stage. So I have this tea and then this steam thing for my voice... then I watch Ed Sheeran videos on YouTube to pump me up, ‘that’s me, I can do it!’”

Mendes, meanwhile, will kick off the European leg of his world tour on April 16 in Germany and he will bring his show to London, for which tickets sold out in mere minutes, at the Eventim Apollo on May 6.
