The Wanted's Nathan Sykes: "I don't want people to give up on me"

The Wanted star Nathan Sykes is worried people will cast him aside as takes a break from the band after a throat operation.

The singer is currently recovering from recent surgery in the US that saw doctors remove a reported hemorrhaging nodule on his vocal cord.

His recuperation is said to take months and he is reportedly is under orders not to speak at the moment. However, it seems he is worried people will forget about him during his time off. Manager Scooter Braun tweeted Sykes:

"Stay tough. Screw this replacement talk. U get that voice back!"

The singer then replied: "I'm trying mate. Just don't want people to give up on me."

Sykes revealed today (April 25) that he has returned home to the UK as his bandmates continue to work in the US. He said: "Just landed back in the UK!! So happy to be home!!"
