Woe J. Reaper, the band's mastermind, delivers his trademark shrieking vocals, weaving blasphemous poetry into a tapestry of sonic chaos. "Caw Entrance" demands an immersive listening experience. Woe J. Reaper himself recommends diving into the album with a good pair of headphones, emphasising the intricate details woven into the left and right channels. Praise for “Caw Entrance”:“Old school but adventurous, mercurial and renegade, a true blasphemer and disloyal lover of Metal convention… context and prior form warrant a closer listen, and Furze's astringent sonic patina rewards it.” - The Wire, April 2024 issue “‘Caw Entrance’… is a fiercely atavistic album… a completely intentional, fully-realized vision that operates in a stylistic vacuum. It’s not really earbud-sharing material… but for those seeking hallucinatory atmosphere and riff-laden exploration, ‘Caw Entrance’ delivers.” - Invisible Oranges “It shouldn't work… yet it does…This is a reminder of the wild and woolly days of musical adventure and unbridled creativity… It’s low fi but not no fi… some tracks like ‘Post Mortem Trippin’’ and ‘You Shall Prevail’ are really long… a must for fans of early black metal and psych rock.” - Rebel Extravaganza “If you are the sort of listener who finds raw edges, imperfect musicianship, and out-of-left-field expression far more interesting than the status quo this is an authentic result from my point of view and a one of the better black metal/doom hybrid notions alongside Faustcoven and Barathrum.” - Mystification Zine Previously Furze released the tracks “Post Mortem Trippin’” and “Foresee His Infernal Rites” which are a part of “Caw Entrance”. Furze was established in 1998 in Trondheim, Norway out of the dust of the Woe J. Reaper project. Under the Furze name, seven full-length albums were released: Trident Autocrat (2000, Apocalyptic Empire Records), Necromanzee Cogent (2003, Apocalyptic Empire Records), UTD (2007, Candlelight Records), Reaper Subconscious Guide (2010, Agonia Records), Psych Minus Space Control (2012, Fysisk Format), Baphomet Wade (2015, Freshtea) and The Presence… (2018, Polytriad Fingerprints). On top of that Furze/Woe J. Reaper’s discography also consists of multiple demos, EPs and compilations. The early demos were released in a time in the pre-2000s when there was little originality in black/old school metal – Furze is probably Norway's (or the underground in general) most influential music to arrive in the late 1990s/2000s when talking about black metal newcomers. Fenriz of Darkthrone fame praised Furze and even featured it as his “band of the week” and played tracks on his Fenriz Radio. Furze online:Bandcamp: https:// Devoted Art Propaganda online:
