5SOS's Ashton: 'I can't thank the One Direction lads enough for the tour'

Last night was the final concert in One Direction's Where We Are tour schedule and the support act, Australian pop-punk quartet 5 Seconds Of Summer, have revealed that they're so thankful for such an incredible opportunity.

Drummer Ashton Irwin uploaded a snapshot to his official Twitter page earlier today (October 6) of himself smiling for the camera with 1D's Niall Horan and Liam Payne, and accompanied it with the following caption: "Gonna miss all these lads. Never be able to thank ya enough for the tour lads :) x"

A tweet has since been shared from 5SOS's collective social networking page, in which the boys admit that they will miss everyone who was involved in the Where We Are jaunt: "Really gonna miss so many people on the tour."

Last night, heartthrob Calum Hood told his followers that he is sad that the run is over, but confessed that he's really looking forward to walking through the doors that have opened for his band as a result of being on the tour: "Bittersweet day today. Sad to be leaving the 1D tour but happy to be starting a new chapter. Couldn't repay what they've done for our band :)."
