5 Seconds of Summer have been working on new material with Josh Ramsay.

The news was confirmed by singer and guitarist Luke Hemmings, who said on Twitter on Sunday (February 1):

"Writing a tune with the man @JoshRamsay."

He later added a photo of himself with the Marianas Trench musician.

5 Seconds of Summer are currently looking ahead to their second album, which is expected to be released later this year.

The Australians unleashed their self-titled debut record in 2014.

It featured the hit singles 'She Looks So Perfect' and 'Don't Stop'.
