5SOS's Michael injured in on-stage pyrotechnics accident

Guitarist Michael Clifford was injured on stage last night at Wembley Arena after walking into the path of some pyrotechnics.

5 Seconds Of Summer performed their second concert at the iconic venue yesterday (June 13) and the band were just wrapping up their set when Clifford wandered towards the front of the stage and ended up standing right over a huge stream of flames.

Following the shocking incident, 5SOS decided to cut their gig short and Clifford later reassured fans via Twitter that he is alright, but he shared a photograph that shows half his face covered in bandages. The rocker tweeted: "What the f**k's up? Sorry I couldn't finish the encore, but at least I look like two face. Thanks for worrying every1."

He later returned to the social media site and explained to his followers that he's feeling a little vulnerable so might not be up for posing for pictures: "If I obviously don't want to have my picture taken right now please don't take my picture :) see everyone tomorrow!!"

5 Seconds Of Summer will return to the Wembley Arena stage tonight for the final date of their three-night residency. Frontman Luke Hemmings also posted a message to fans about Clifford and wrote: "Incredible show tonight for the most part, Mike's in good spirits :) Glad he's all good!"
