5 Seconds of Summer have talked about their fascination with Nick Jonas.

The lads were being interviewed at the American Music Awards on Sunday (November 22) when the topic turned to Jonas.

Speaking to Extra, Hood started speaking about the 'Levels' man when asked who he was looking forward to watching perform.

The bassist said: "I feel like we're doing press for Nick Jonas, just because we love him so much."

Michael Clifford said he liked Jonas' smile and laugh, while Ashton Irwin called him their "queen".

Hood said: "His performance is amazing, so it's definitely one to watch."

The band added that their friendship kicked off when they previously did a joint interview - although Clifford doubts Jonas knows any of their tracks.

5 Seconds of Summer meanwhile also performed on the night as they ran through current single 'Hey Everybody'.
