5 Seconds of Summer say it is "good to be home" as they settle into their Christmas break.

The Australians have had an extremely busy 2015 as they travelled the globe and released new album 'Sounds Good Feels Good'.

The group are now back home and it seems it is a much-needed break for singer and guitarist Luke Hemmings.

He wrote on Twitter on Monday (December 21): "Back home in Sydney.

"Feeling more australian by the minute. So good to be home."

Drummer Ashton Irwin meanwhile recently said on Twitter that he was "so exhausted" after a busy year.

The group will recharge their batteries into the New Year before embarking on their Sounds Live Feels Live world tour.
