5 Seconds of Summer drummer Ashton Irwin says he is dying to go back onstage again.

The band have enjoyed a number of weeks off recently following a busy 2015.

They are due to embark on their Sounds Live Feels Live world tour from February onwards and it seems Irwin is getting itchy feet.

He wrote on Twitter on Sunday (January 24): "NEED to get on that stage again, I feel like an alien when I'm not."

5 Seconds of Summer's first tour date will take place in Nagoya, Japan on February 19.

They will then head to the UK and Europe from April.

The tour comes in support of 5 Seconds of Summer's 2015 album 'Sounds Good Feels Good'.
