28-year-old Hannah works as a receptionist. Originally from Birmingham she now lives in London with her boyfriend.

How would you describe your style of cooking?

“I love to have fun with cooking, I guess my dishes are sometimes quite simple but in a playful way. I do things like invite my friends over for ‘food and film’ and cook the food based around the film; so burgers for Pulp Fiction, pasta for The Godfather, and apple pie for Good Will Hunting.”

What is your earliest cooking memory?

One of my first food memories is trying octopus at a Japanese restaurant when I was about 10, I remember being fascinated and slightly confused by the texture. In terms of when I first cooked something myself it was a bit later on, I remember attempting a kedgeree on family holiday, it went completely wrong but I still served it to everyone and made them eat it!”

Why did you enter MasterChef?

What is your food dream?

“I’d love my own cookbook, I mean who wouldn’t. I feel like my food is playful and accessible especially to young professionals who don’t have a lot of time or maybe money but want to enterain their friends.”
