Stephen Merchant is the first guest on new comedy companion series Inside... The Outlaws on BBC Sounds.

Inside... The Outlaws is the official podcast all about BBC One and BBC iPlayer's acclaimed comedy crime thriller The Outlaws. Hosted by comedians and super-fans of the show Suzi Ruffell and Geoff Norcott, the series will give listeners their extra fix of episode analysis, behind-the-scenes gossip and first-hand accounts from the cast themselves.

As well as speaking to the show's creator, writer and star, Stephen Merchant, each week Suzi and Geoff will be grilling other members of the cast including Gamba Cole, Charles Babalola, Jessica Gunning and more, to reveal their experiences on the show, tease what’s coming next as well as bringing the lols.

Stephen Merchant says: “For my new series of The Outlaws, BBC Sounds decided that the intricately brilliant, complicated plots and sophisticated jokes needed to be decoded by two expert comedians, in the form of Suzi Ruffle and Geoff Norcott.”

Suzi Ruffell and Geoff Norcott say: “Join us Outlaws super-fans to go through all the plot twists, character analysis and all things you might have missed, on our new podcast Inside... The Outlaws. Each week we’ll be getting together with members of the cast, including Stephen Merchant, after each episode of The Outlaws - only on BBC Sounds.”

Inside... The Outlaws is available from 5 June straight after each episode of the TV show, only on BBC Sounds.
