And we’re back! How does it feel to be returning for Series 5?

It feel amazing to be back for a fifth series. The energy in the workroom each day was incredible and so electrifying. I don’t know how the artists do it but each year they raise that creative bar higher and higher.

We also have a brand new host, Leomie Anderson. What was it like to work with Leomie?

Leomie has been a really fun addition to the Glow Up Gang. Having worked with Leomie before outside of the show, I already knew she was a lot of fun and she felt like one of the Glam Fam straight away. What's been beautiful is seeing Leomie on set in the final of the first series and then seeing her present in the first ep of the new series, it's been like a wonderful full circle moment. Oh and babes, does she bring the lewks!

What do you enjoy most about being a judge?

What I love the most is seeing the artists grow each week. The feedback we give is for their benefit and when they take it on board and you see them learning and working things out and then delivering the most epic looks it can be really emotional. I feel like a proud dad at times.

Without giving away any major spoilers, were there any standout moments from the challenges or MUAs that you can recall?

Looking for Britain's Next Make-up Star means testing each of our MUAs in all aspects of makeup artistry so this year's challenges are epic. Straight out of the gate, we give them a powerhouse assignment that really tests their skill, their agility and their ability to work under huge pressure. From there it only gets tougher. However, the results speak for themselves and you realise that its only from pressure that you can create diamonds.

Do you have any advice for any aspiring MUAs who may be watching and want to get into the industry?

My advice would be just do it. Don't wait for anyone to give you permission to chase your dreams. Pick up your brushes and start creating and enjoy every moment.

What can viewers expect when they tune in?

You can expect to see creativity, imagination, cutting edge ideas and a mountain of passion with a lot of fun and giggles along the way.
