Bastille reveal how best to cure the post-festival blues

'Things We Lost In The Fire' hitmakers Bastille have revealed how best to get over the post-festival blues

The band's frontman, Dan Smith, told BBC's Newsbeat at T in the Park that his go-to cure is to make sure you have people around to hang out with once you get home because going from a festival atmosphere to an empty house can be miserable:

"For me it's company. You get so used to your festival family, hanging out with these people all the time."

"You don't want to go home and suddenly be by yourself again."

His bandmate Kyle Simmons had slightly different advice to give and added: "You've just got to stay in bed" and - maybe - call in sick for work while eating everything you want."

Bastille are gearing up to release their highly anticipated new album, entitled 'Wild World', on September 9 and recently told The Independent newspaper that they hope it'll be sonically disorientating: "Hopefully our album will be quite disorientating, going from epic production to the track where it is just me and Will doing a guitar song in one take. It’s very much something we’ve taken from that genre which we love."
