Last night The Rolling Stones were joined by an honorary member during a live show when Ed Sheeran performed alongside them. 

The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ star was the opening act for The Rolling Stones on the latest date of their 2015 ZIP CODE tour.

During the main show at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium, Ed was invited back on stage alongside Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts to join in with a rendition of ‘Beast of Burden’ (see video below).

At the end of the song, Jagger told the crowd: “'Ed Sheeran! That was great! I loved that one!”

Ed Sheeran is set to headline his own run of gigs at Wembley Stadium on July 10, 11 and 12. Sheeran recently revealed that footage from the shows will be used for a documentary.
