Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs and Little Mix top annual PPL People’s ChartsMusic licensing company PPL has announced its annual People’s Charts results and it has confirmed that Ed Sheeran was 2015's Most Played Artist. The 'Photograph' sensation, who has gone off the grid this year after being in the spotlight solidly for quite some time, is now No.1 Most Played Artist of the Year after finishing in third place the year before. Taylor Swift finished at No.2, Olly Murs is at 3, and Take That are just behind at 4. Other people who finished in the list include Ellie Goulding and Sam Smith. PPL also shared the Most Played Pop Tracks and in the top spot is 'Uptown Funk' by Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars. 'Love Me Like You Do' songstress Ellie Goulding is at No.2, James Bay's 'Hold Back The River' is at 3, and 'King' by Years & Years is at 4.
