Ed Sheeran not interested in TV judging roles: 'I don't want to ruin someone's dream'

'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' hitmaker Ed Sheeran has confessed that he probably won't ever sign on to judge a televised vocal talent show because he doesn't want to tell someone if they're good enough to make it or not.

Speaking to BBC's Newsbeat, Sheeran explained that he would feel uncomfortable letting someone down or crushing their dreams of being a singer:

"I want to tour, I want to write and I want to record. I don’t want to be a talent show judge. Who am I to tell someone if they can’t live their dream?”

"Half the people on those shows can sing, and half should probably do something else. It’s not my job to crush someone’s dreams if I don’t think they were good enough. My job is to create music."

He recently confirmed that he will be opening for Taylor Swift on her forthcoming north American tour after collaborating with her on her new album, 'Red'.
