Ed Sheeran on bad gigs: 'I've had bottles thrown at me and played shows to no one'

'Lego House' superstar Ed Sheeran has revealed that playing gigs now is so much more enjoyable now than it was before he was famous because he had some bad experience on the live music circuit.

Speaking to The Crosby Press, the hitmaker explained that he has seen it all where performing live is concerned so really appreciates being able to sell out huge arenas today:

"Bottles being thrown on stage, not being allowed to perform [because] I was too young, missing the last train home because you were waiting for people to turn up who never did. I’ve played a lot of shows to no one, that’s what makes the gigs now so awesome."

Sheeran was also asked about a rumour that has been spreading surrounding his new album and confessed that while he has made a song that samples tunes from 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', it won't be on his forthcoming new album:

"It’s not actually on this album. I just made a tune sampling some background music from Buffy. I love Buffy, I watch it a lot, and some of the soundtrack is brilliant."
