Ellie Goulding's 'Halcyon' remains at No. 1 in UK albums chart

British songstress Ellie Goulding is sitting at the top of the UK albums chart for a second consecutive week with her LP ‘Halcyon’.

It took 65 weeks for Ellie’s second album to reach No. 1 in the chart last week but she is now enjoying yet another week at the top.

‘Halcyon Days’ – the re-issued version of her October 2012 release ‘Halcyon’ – has now sold 680,000 copies in the UK alone.

Goulding has managed to keep Beyonce’s self-titled visual album from toppling her but the Texan star is up one place to No. 2.

The rest of the top five sees Gary Barlow down one to No. 3 with ‘Since I Saw You Last’, John Newman’s ‘Tribute’ up one to No. 4 and Bastille’s ‘Bad Blood’ up one to No. 5.

A new entry to this week’s chart sees American rapper Kid Ink debuting at No. 34 with ‘My Own Lane’.
