Emeli Sandé heading for No.1 with 'Our Version Of Events' following Olympic performances

Following Emeli Sandé's multiple performances at the Olympic Closing Ceremony she has moved back up the albums chart to No.1 in the midweek update with 'Our Version Of Events'.

The Official Charts Company reports that it's on course to overtake Adele's '21' in overall sales for this year as it is "just 39,000 copies behind" the record-breaking album.

Sandé also impacted on the midweek singles chart as her 'Read All About It Pt 3' debuted at No.3, just behind Wiley's 'Heatwave' and the new No.1 from Rita Ora, 'How We Do (Party)'.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, artists and groups that graced the Olympic events' stages are dominating as Jessie J's 'Who You Are' is at 8, Spice Girls have made an appearance at 9 with their 'Greatest Hits', and singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has climbed to No.4 with '+'.

One Direction's 'Up All Night' has risen 8 places to No.11, Frank Ocean's 'Channel Orange' has dropped 12 positions to No.32, and Justin Bieber's 'Believe' is now at 27.
