Fergie, star of the Black Eyed Peas, has quashed recent rumours that she has been hand-picked for a judging role on the new series X Factor after admitting she has no time for a commitment as big as that. 

The 'Big Boys Don't Cry' hitmaker explained that as much as she'd love to fill the shoes of an X Factor judge, she is just too busy and told the Associated Press:

"I think that it's a very committed job that you have to put your time into and I don't think I'm going to have that much time, but I love Simon and I would love to do something like that. It's right down my alley, but I just don't think I have enough time to give and I would want to give everything to those contestants."
