‘Magnesium Burn’ the new single by Speak, Brother released 16th February‘Young & Brave’ the debut album is released 13th April - Announcing UK Headline TourBoasting a powerful indie-folk-rock sound with subtle hymnal and gospel tones, their story-based anthems have drawn comparisons to the likes of Of Monsters and Men, Kodaline and Fleet foxes. Speak Brother have been hand picked to tour the UK with Tame Impala’s very own Barbagallo during February for 4 special shows in London, Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle. Having had their honest, ethereal and inspiring Indie folk rock played by the likes of BBC Radio 2, BBC WM & BBC Introducing, Speak Brother’s powerful sound and arrangements are brought to another level with their latest single “Magnesium Burn” released 16th February. This song comes from a deep well of frustration in my life. Fear has kept me contained and depression has weighed me down. I've been distracted from what's real, worrying what's behind the corner. I've not done things, said things, loved people just because I'm not sure what would happen. Every day it's better to just autonomously play it safe, stay afloat and hope something one day changes. There is this deep longing to just run. Run into the dark places. Like a child into the fields. I think it's at those places when we're most uncomfortable and just a about out of control of the outcome, where we really live, grow and become free.- James Herring, ‘Speak Brother’ Featuring their lush vocal harmonies, rustic instrumentation and contagious heartfelt lyrics, they are often referred to the likes of Mumford & Sons, Ben Howard & Foy Vance. The debut album ‘Young & Brave’ is to be released 13th April which will be accompanied by a UK headline tour. Vulnerable, honest, ethereal: this is the music of Speak, Brother. “A piece of class.” - Brody Swain, BBC Introducing “Their mix of passion and emotive storylines are quite irresistible" - FATEA Listen to the new single “Magnesium Burn” below.
