Iggy Azalea matches Beatles US chart record

Iggy Azalea has equalled a US chart record set by the Beatles in 1964.

The Australian is currently No.1 in the country with her track 'Fancy', whilst she also features on Ariana Grande's No.2 song 'Problem'.

This means that she is the first act since the Beatles to have her first two singles in the Billboard chart's top two at the same time.

The Liverpudlians scored that record in 1964 with the tracks 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' and 'She Loves You'.

Azalea's 'Fancy' was her first track released as a single in the US, although her previous effort 'Work' is currently at No.63 off the back of her debut album 'The New Classic'.

The Aussie has also become the fourth solo female rapper ever to top the Billboard Hot 100, following in the footsteps of Lauryn Hill, Lil' Kim and Shawnna.
