Soft Cell, M People’s Heather Small and Heaven 17 are the final additions to this summer’s Nocturne Live concert series, which returns to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire in June. The three acts will perform on a triple bill on Friday June 14th and join Sugababes, Melanie C & Shaznay Lewis, Chaka Khan, Sister Sledge & Fatback Band, and Crowded House, Sheryl Crow & Turin Brakes on the line-up for the series, which runs from Thursday 13th – Sunday 16th June 2024.

Having reformed for a sold-out show at London’s O2 Arena in 2018, Soft Cell are sounding as fresh, relevant and accomplished as ever. Renowned for their ground-breaking hits such as "Tainted Love" and "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye," the duo - consisting of Marc Almond and Dave Ball – defined the sound of British pop in the 1980s and earned a place among UK music's most iconic acts. In possession of one of the great soul voices, Heather Small is best known as lead singer of the 10 million-selling ‘90s group M People, who released a string of international chart-topping albums and singles including the 1993 smash hit Moving On Up. Heaven 17 were formed in Sheffield in 1980 and went on to become one of the most successful synth-pop acts of the time with an array of hits including 1983’s “Temptation”.

Marc Almond:

“To me, Soft Cell has always been a fluid thing. Dave and I will get together when we have something new to say, or something to celebrate. We’ll do things when the time feels right. Whenever we do something together, it feels like it might be the last time. And, at that moment, it is. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Blenheim Palace in June.”

Dave Ball:

"I'm really excited about Soft Cell performing this special one-off show in such a historic and unique location, and look forward to seeing everyone in June."

This summer’s Nocturne Live concert series, which transforms the UNESCO World Heritage site of Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire into a spectacular 10,000-capacity open-air live music venue, will present an array of superstar acts from around the world including a triple bill of three era-defining British pop acts - Sugababes, Melanie C and Shaznay Lewis - 10-time Grammy-winning Chaka Khan, disco legends Sister Sledge, party-starting funk group The Fatback Band, multi-million-selling Australian pop group Crowded House, nine-time Grammy-winning US singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, and Mercury and Brit-nominated duo Turin Brakes.

The event runs from June 13th – 16th 2024 and tickets, along with a limited number of VIP packages - which provide an exclusive opportunity to dine in the State Rooms of Blenheim Palace - are available from www.nocturnelive.com.

Since its inception in 2015 Nocturne Live has gone on to become one of the UK’s most popular stately home concert experiences. Over the years the series has presented shows from a host of huge international stars including the likes of Lionel Ritchie, Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Nile Rodgers, Lauryn Hill, Noel Gallagher, Gregory Porter, Van Morrison, Tears for Fears, Gladys Knight, Elvis Costello, Simple Minds and Ennio Morricone amongst many others.
