Katy B won't forget her roots

Katy B, who this week celebrated a number 2 debut album in the UK charts with 'On A Mission', has vowed never to forget her South London roots.

The 'Broken Record' star has made a name for herself in the music industry, but promises that it'll never go to her head. She told The Daily Star:

“It’s funny when people call me ‘the Peckham princess’, but I don’t mind."

“I’ve always lived here, in the same house with my mum, but I haven’t got around to looking for my own place. Maybe I should but I like it too much.

She added:

“I grew up in Peckham and it’s where a lot of people were into making beats in their bedroom, and where I first got started. I don’t want to leave.”
