Little Mix believe their next album is their best to date.

The girl group have been recording their third studio effort since last year.

Fans have been waiting patiently for new material and singer Jesy Nelson told Capital FM that the new record should be worth the wait.

She said: "It’s been absolutely incredible - it has been very stressful at the same time because we thought it was going to be really easy doing the third album, but it’s been the hardest.

"I think this is why it’s taken so long because we are just perfectionists and we wanted it to be the best album that we’ve done and I feel like it is."

Jade Thirlwall meanwhile added: "I think we are confident, it’s literally the calm before the storm. It’s going to kick off but we can’t wait, can we? We’re itching to get back out there and show everyone the new album and stuff."

Little Mix meanwhile will precede the record with the single 'Black Magic'.

Their last album came via 2013's 'Salute'.
