Little Mix on media lies and rumours: 'It's upsetting when it affects us as a group'

'Black Magic' hitmakers Little Mix have revealed that reading bad things about themselves used to be really upsetting.

During a new interview with Hunger TV, the girls explained that learning how to handle the negative side of fame has been very tough, but it was an important lesson to get through if they were going to enjoy longevity with their career:

“It’s because people that aren’t in this industry believe everything they read. Individually we’ve learnt how to deal with it when people chat s**t about us, but in the beginning it was horrible, we weren’t used to people coming out of the woodwork to say nasty things about us. I think the only time it gets really upsetting though, is when it affects us as a group."

Referring to one particularly hurtful incident, the 'Wings' beauties added: "Once a magazine brought out a two page spread about us that we were breaking up because we all hated Perrie. We know it’s not true but fans or other people that pick that up and read it start to believe it, and then they think there’s a problem."
