Little Mix on their latest record: 'We literally adore our new album'

Little Mix have professed their love for their new album.

The girl group unleashed their third record 'Get Weird' earlier this month.

It acted as the follow up to 2013's 'Salute' - making for a two-year gap that left some fans frustrated.

However, the band told ABC Radio that they needed extra time to consolidate their sound - and it seems they are pleased by the results.

Singer Jade Thirlwall said: "We were writing the album for a year and it took longer this process, compared to the other album because I think we were struggling with what sound we wanted to go down, how to make it better than 'Salute', ‘cause we loved 'Salute' so much.

"But as soon as 'Black Magic' came about and ‘Weird People', it all kind of just fell into place. And we literally adore this album."

Little Mix will tour 'Get Weird' in the UK and Ireland in spring next year.

Fellow Brit Nathan Sykes was recently confirmed as the support act on the tour.
