Lorde has been added to the line-up for this year's ARIA Awards in Australia.

The event is taking place on Sunday (December 1) in Sydney and Lorde's appearance will be her first on Australian TV.

The 17-year-old, who hails from nearby New Zealand, is expected to run through the track 'Team'.

Other performers on the night will include the multi-nominated Flume, Tame Impala, Birds Of Tokyo, Vance Joy, Bliss N Eso and Jessica Maubo.

Lorde meanwhile has just had her ninth week at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 with her smash hit song 'Royals'.

That track is already triple-platinum certified in Australia, after shifting 210,000 units.
