McFly's Dougie Poynter has given his exclusive first interview since completing his recent stint at rehab. 

Speaking in today's News of the World, March 20, the 'Party Girl' star explained that it was overall a positive experience:

"It's one of the best things I've ever done in my whole life,"

"I'm still me but it's definitely been very positive. I don't know how I've changed. I try not to really think too much about it."

The bass guitarist, who recently thanked his fans on Twitter for their messages of continued support and love, added that his life has been so busy since leaving The Priory:

"It's all been a bit strange. I came out and went straight on tour. The only people I've seen have been my mum, my nan and these guys. But on the internet everyone's been cool. That feedback has been awesome."
