McFly's Harry Judd has announced to the world that he is now engaged to Izzy Johnston.

The drummer for the popular band took to social networking site Twitter earlier today (May 17) and revealed to his followers that his girlfriend has now become his fiancée.

"Couldn't be happier! My beautiful @izzyeyesalight and I are engaged! Thank you to @rendezvoushotel for making it so special! xxx"

"I liked it, so I put a ring on it. #engaged" he added, before sharing a photograph of them together posing with the engagement ring. 

Over the weekend, his McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher tied the knot with his now-wife, Giovanna Falcone.
