McFly apologise for gig cut

McFly's Tom Fletcher has apologised to fans after their set was cut short at a London show last night (July 19).

The four piece - also comprising Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter, and Harry Judd - took to the stage at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in the UK capital on Friday evening.

However McFly's show was stopped after just five songs due to the festival overrunning.

Fletcher took to Twitter afterwards to personally apologise to fans.

He wrote: "Sorry to all who came to see us tonight. Wasn’t our fault but the show was running over and they pulled us off. We would have gone all night. Thanks so much for coming though and we hope you enjoyed what they let us play (sic)."

Fletcher shared his excitement ahead of the show, posting: "Morning. Who’s coming to the gig at the Olympic Park tonight? Going to be quite glorious in the sunshine me thinks."

He also joked about a minor injury adding: "I seem to have hurt my heel, Greek god style. If i’m limping on stage tonight I expect mass sympathy from the crowd (sic)."
