Following the huge success of the YouTube premiere of her latest single, Daydreamer, Karen David is now set to release her brand new, eagerly-anticipated EP, Dust To Stars.

Since releasing her single, Karen has gained much attention globally with old and new fans flocking to see her video. She now counts One Direction’s very own Liam Payne, her Castle co-star Jon Huertas and Beyoncé’s cousin, actress Shanica Knowles (of Hannah Montana fame) in her fan base! The three stars shared their support for Karen over twitter, recommending the Daydreamer video to their followers.

Daydreamer is just one of many infectious tunes from Karen’s forthcoming EP and its success has certainly created a buzz around the EP’s release. The British-Canadian beauty penned the compilation over the last year, ready for release on August 23rd.

The EP combines a mix of acoustic guitars and pop sounds, overlaid with Karen’s velvety vocals. It showcases Karen’s unique indie-pop melodies in five beautifully composed tracks; from the soulful and wistful title song, Dust To Stars to the upbeat, fun-filled Daydreamer. The track list also includes; Connected, Heartstrings and Kaleidoscope. The collection of songs is perfect for the season as the mellow tunes are just right for those chilled summer nights.

The multi-talented singer-songwriter and actress most recently graced UK TV screens in the US detective series, Castle, but she is best known for her role in the BBC drama Waterloo Road. The star has been working on a breadth of projects this year, jet setting between LA and the UK. But Karen will be returning to London to treat her fans to a special live gig on the day of the EP release. She will be performing the tracks from the EP exclusively at Old St. Pancras Church.

Speaking about the release, Karen says: “I feel as though I’ve really found my sound in Dust to Stars as the EP really reflects where I am in my life at the moment. When writing the EP, I tapped a lot into my childhood memories of why I wanted to make music, so the tracks are very different to what I’ve done before. I wanted these songs to make my old and new fans smile, feel good about themselves, give them food for thought and most of all, something to chill out to.”

Dust to Stars the EP will be available for iTunes pre-order on 16th August and to buy on iTunes and all major digital stores on August 23rd.
