British boyband One Direction have revealed that Zayn Malik will celebrate his 21st birthday this coming Sunday (January 12) and the group have called for fans to join in with the well wishes. 

In a post shared via their official Twitter page earlier tonight, the lads explained that they want followers to get creative with their birthday wishes as Malik is likely to see the best ones.

"Guess what! It's Zayn's 21st birthday on Sunday! Send Zayn your birthday wishes by spelling out HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZAYN in an unusual way! The most creative photos might just make it on this page on Sunday! Send photos to fanart@onedirectionmusic.com 1DHQ x"

Meanwhile, One Direction have just been nominated for two prizes in the 2014 BRIT Awards. The lads are up for British Group and British Single for 'One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks)', and will battle against the likes of Olly Murs and Bastille for the respective titles.
