One Direction have been nominated for two gongs at this year's Kid's Choice Awards.

The Nickelodeon bash is due to take place on March 29 in California and the British-Irish group will be hoping to add to their already massive prize haul.

They are nominated in the Music Group category, whilst their single 'Story of My Life' is up for the Song award.

Other music nominees include Taylor Swift, who is nominated in the Song and Female Singer sections, whilst Katy Perry is also up for the same honours.

One Direction meanwhile will have to fight off Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, OneRepublic and Maroon 5 in the Group category.

Niall Horan commented on the news: "To be nominated for two awards at this year’s Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards is just incredible! Thank you to Nickelodeon and to our amazing fans that always support us."
