One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has been confirmed to play at a charity football match in Glasgow next month.

The singer and avid football fan will line-up for Rio Ferdinand’s All-Stars against Paul McStay’s Maestros at Celtic Park on September 7.

Other names set to take to the pitch include Marc Overmars, Jack Whitehall and Ryan Giggs.

It will be the second time Tomlinson has played at the venue in recent years.

However, his appearance in a charity match in 2013 ended up the singer getting heavily tackled before throwing up on the sidelines.
