Niall Horan says it felt a little "strange" to return to touring.

The boyband opened their On The Road Again world tour in Australia in early February in Australia.

Speaking to Take 40, Horan said that it felt a little odd to be playing to massive audiences again after last performing a full gig in October.

He said: "It felt quite strange actually, we hadn’t done a show since October. We have been doing promo and stuff. We were in Oz promoting our album but it had been a while since we’d been on stage.”

The Irish singer added: “It was good to be back, we said on stage it was like the first day of school.

“Everyone was back together, it was good seeing our backstage crew. You miss everyone. It’s like a family on the road.”
