One Direction star Liam Payne celebrated his 19th birthday yesterday (August 26) with a party and a gigantic Batman cake.

The singer took to Twitter to express his delight at girlfriend Danielle Peazer organising a surprise party with his friends.

He then uploaded a photo of himself with a specially made Batman birthday cake. He tweeted:

"Can't believe today Danielle arranged me a surprise party had all my friends down what a great day will show u pictures of my cakeyyy xx."

Payne, who turns 19 on Wednesday (August 29), also celebrated his impending birthday with a night out on Saturday (August 26).

Bandmate Niall Horan hinted that the night on the tiles was filled with dancing, with the Irishman tweeting:

"Morning guys! Great night last night! Happy birthday @alexandramusic, and we celebrated the @Real_Liam_Payne's bday also! Dance moves."
