Harry Styles overwhelmed by Royal show

One Direction's Harry Styles "can't believe" that the band performed in front of Queen Elizabeth II last night.

The British boyband - comprising Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne - took to the stage for the 100th anniversary of the Royal Variety Show at London's Royal Albert Hall on Monday (November 19).

The 'Live While We're Young' singers performed their latest single 'Little Things', which is currently riding high at the top of the charts.

One Direction - who looked dapper in black and white suits - sang the ballad sitting on glowing stools, and even treated the audience to an up close and personal experience as they made their way to the stage via the aisles.

Styles took to Twitter after the show to gush about the honourary experience.

He wrote: "Today, I met The Queen. Amazing night.. Can't believe it. Night!! .xx (sic)."

Bandmate Horan also told fans about the night on his Twitter page.

He said: "Great evening ! Met some legends! Happy to be invited (sic)."

After performing their no. 1 track, One Direction were joined on stage by comedian David Walliams wearing a wig and dressed as an overzealous female fan.

He said: “I’ve got a washing machine and I named it One Direction. You make me so happy. Was your song What Makes You Beautiful written about me? I love you so much. Will you marry me?”

Monday night’s show will air on ITV on December 3, with performances from the newly-reformed Girls Aloud, Alicia Keys, Neil Diamond, Rod Stewart, Katherine Jenkins and Robbie Williams also included.
