One Direction thank Germany for pop awardChart sensations One Direction have thanked Germany for their win at the Bambi Awards tonight (November 22). The boy band - comprising Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne - were honoured for their contribution to music at the awards ceremony in Duesseldorf, Germany. As well as scooping the gong for Pop International Award, One Direction also took to the stage at the oldest media awards show in the country. The band arrived in the European country earlier this morning for rehearsals, and tweeted fans a picture of the city with the caption: “Good morning Dusseldorf." Members Horan and Styles have since taken to the social networking site to thank their German supporters. Styles gushed: "Thank you so much Germany for the Bambi award! It means a lot.. We had fun tonight .x (sic)," while Horan added: " Wow! Just won favourite international artist at the bambis in dusseldorf , thank you Germany." The band's management had earlier posted a message from their official Twitter account, sharing their disbelief at the success of One Direction's second studio album, Take Me Home. They wrote: "WOW! Take Me Home is No.1 in 32 countries!! We're so proud of the boys! Thank you so much Directioners! 1DHQ x (sic)."
