One Direction have dismissed reports that Zayn Malik is set to quit the group.

Online articles emanating from the media today (February 6) suggested that the Bradford singer had become disillusioned with fame.

The singer was recently embroiled in an alleged cheating scandal that was played out via a kiss and tell story in the press.

However, One Direction have now dismissed the recent quit report, confirming that he has no plans to exit the band that he joined in 2010.

A spokesperson confirmed to Digital Spy: "Zayn isn't leaving the band".

As previously reported, One Direction and their label have expressed their disappointment at their new Comic Relief charity single leaking online early.

Syco have since confirmed that they are launching an investigation into how 'One Way Or Another' found its way online.
