One Direction have treated fans with a trailer for their upcoming new film.

As previously reported, the pop group revealed last year that they will be unleashing a 3D movie in the autumn.

They have now released a trailer for the flick on ITV's Daybreak this morning (February 8).

The video sees the stars performing on tour as well as giving pieces to camera.

Zayn Malik says in the trailer: "As a group, we're stronger than if there was five people by themselves."

It appears the film is called One Direction The Movie, with a release date of August 23 planned via Sony Pictures.

Super Size Me director Morgan Spurlock has been signed up to help create the film.
