Irish heartthrob Niall Horan enjoyed a flirtatious exchange earlier today (February 8) after telling his Twitter followers that he had seen someone "beautiful" on television.

Writing on the social networking site this morning, the 'Little Things' singer explained: "That girl on @itvthismorning is beautiful!"

His message soon got the attention of his followers who told him the woman he was admiring is named Rachel Shenton and is an actress on British soap Hollyoaks, and then This Morning got in contact with Horan to deliver a special message.

The show's account tweeted to him: "Morning @NiallOfficial... here's a message from @Mattjohnsons and @RachelShenton! ;)"

The message in question was a photograph (shown below) of Shenton holding up a hand-written sign that said "Hello Niall! xxxx." Upon seeing the tweet, Horan replied with his own photograph in which he returned the greeting.
