Young cancer patient reflects on "magical" private One Direction gig

A teenage cancer sufferer has reflected on a mini-gig One Direction staged for her last month.

Speaking to The Sun, 18-year-old Hannah Booth revealed that the popular boyband performed two songs for her in March with the help of charity Rays of Sunshine.

The Stockport girl, pictured above with her father, was told that her bone cancer was terminal and the charity arranged for the 'Kiss You' stars to perform for her when she was in Liverpool.

She said that the event was "magical", with the live singing an unexpected bonus. Booth said:

"I thought I was just going to get a few minutes with the boys to shake their hand and have a picture taken with them. This is beyond anything I could have dreamed of. To be just yards from them as they sang was just magical."

The brave teen said at the time: "Chemo would only buy me more time and I want to enjoy what life I have left. I also want to raise awareness of the disease. Today has just been wonderful. I feel so privileged, it's hard to explain just how good it was to meet them."
