One Direction stars barred from slot machines

One Direction members Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson were turned away from a service station’s Games Area earlier this week by a security guard who did not recognise them.

The boy-band pair were on their way to a gig in Glasgow and obviously fancied their chances on the ‘puggy’ machines whilst taking an early morning break at the Abington services on the M74 in Lanarkshire. However, unable to provide their IDs upon questioning, the boys were refused entry and evicted by unsuspecting security worker Ann Fuller, aged 29.

It is reported that Payne, 19, and Tomlinson, 21, had already inserted money into the games machine before being ousted by the steadfast security operative.

Following their ejection the two pop pin-ups slinked back to join fellow band-mates Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik, who were busy stocking up on snacks elsewhere in the station.

The vigilant Fuller, at the time unaware of the pair’s prominent identity, later said:

"I was just doing my job. I'd heard of One Direction but only found out it was them when a colleague later said, 'Somebody's thrown out the most popular boy-band in the world'."

One Direction are currently playing gigs across the country as part of their Take Me Home Tour.
