One Direction praise "wicked" Madame Tussauds figures

One Direction have heaped praise on their new waxwork models.

As previously reported, Madame Tussauds unveiled lifelike figures of the popular boyband this morning (April 18).

The models showcased a striking resemblance to their real-life counterparts and they wore their clothes.

Speaking as they saw the models, Zayn Malik said: "They look wicked, they're bang on."

His bandmate Harry Styles meanwhile commented that it was "amazing and such an honour" to be immortalised in wax.

Today's launch was attended by a select number of fans who finally got the chance to get up close and personal to their idols without security staff having to swat them away.

The models are due to go on show in London until July 19 before heading on tour to New York and Sydney.
