Harry Styles left his One Direction bandmates in the lurch last night (July 8) after he sat out of a song due to a reported bout of illness.

The four boyband members had to cover Styles' parts in the song 'Rock Me' as their Take Me Home US tour hit Pittsburgh.

Video footage uploaded online appears to show the singer resting underneath their massive stage set-up during the song.

It has been claimed on Twitter that he was sick - and Styles' use of a towel in the video appears to back up this notion.

Zayn Malik and Liam Payne looked on in apparent concern as their comrade sat out the song. It is said, however, that Styles recovered and later rejoined the group.
