UK based boyband One Direction are about to kick off an impressive 4-night residency at Los Angeles' Staples Center and the lads have revealed that they're overwhelmed by the run of dates.

The first show will take place this evening (August 7) and the heartthrobs confessed that they are so excited by the prospect of headlining the huge and well-known venue.

Member Niall Horan told his followers: "Well good afternoon Los Angeles California! What's up? I can't believe we are just about to play 4 staples centres! That's just nuts! Woohoo."

The multi-purpose sports arena (pictured below) has a capacity of just over 18,000 and the lads' final date there will take place on August 10.
