One Direction have spoken of their excitement as their latest Australia and New Zealand tour kicks off.

The lads arrived in Australia over the weekend as they bring their successful Take Me Home tour to the country.

They were mobbed in Melbourne airport after touching down, with the group scheduled to play the Adelaide Entertainment Centre today (September 23).

Tweeting before the show, Niall Horan said: "Adelaide are you readddddyyy? I literally can't wait for this show! Was just talkin t the lads about it! Everyone's rested and ready to go."

One Direction meanwhile are due to stay in Australia and New Zealand until the end of October, before playing a couple of shows in Japan.
