One Direction on 'Midnight Memories': 'We've not made a weird album'

'Best Song Ever' heartthrobs One Direction have opened up about their forthcoming new studio album, 'Midnight Memories', and confessed that it's not too different from their previous offerings.

The record is due to be officially released on Monday, November 25 although it has already leaked online, and the lads told Digital Spy that the material on the cut won't be so diverse that their fans won't relate to it.

Singer Harry Styles explained that there's a definite musical progression, but it's not wildly different from their other albums: "I think it's very different, but not too different. We've not made this weird album."

"It's a good transition from the last two. I think 'Best Song Ever' was a good link between the two, and that evolution just keeps going."

Louis Tomlinson also addressed the recent leak, adding that it's annoying when all of their hard work is cancelled out so quickly: "It's just frustrating when you work so hard on an album and you kind of want everyone to hear it at the same time. Some select fans won't listen to it until it's out, which is great. But there are others who obviously can't help themselves."
