DJ Scott Mills is hosting One Direction day today (November 23), the seven hour celebration of the release os the band's new album, 'Midnight Memories'.

The live broadcast started streaming on YouTube and Google+ at 7pm (UK time until 2am (2pm ET/11am PT). Currently fans are being allowed into the listening booth during the live streaming to hear the album themselves, and meet the band.

1D Day will stream live to 61 countries from a studio in Los Angeles. Celebrities including Piers Morgan, Kelly Rowland, Robbie Williams, Celine Dion, Simon Cowell, the Muppets and Khloe Kardashian will feature in the live stream, which will also see several performances from One Direction.

During Piers Morgan's interview on 1D Day, Zayn said that he had a water gun tattooed in a private gun in "a private area" of his body, so he wasn't able to show Morgan on the show.

The first performance of today was 'Story of my Life'.

'Midnight Memories' is officially released on Monday, November 25.
